Chapter 24 - Sealed Memories 5
Holding me onto his arms, Mokuzai went back using the same path, running all the way till he reached my room; and as I glanced up at the clock hanging on the wall, I realized that its already ten plus nearing midnight. Feeling rather apologetic, I said: "Im sorry Mokuzai, not only did i use up your resting time, but if youre discovered by otou-san that you helped me onto this youll be punished severely. If its too hard for Mokuzai, Ill go by myself tomorrow.
Mokuzai squatted down, stroked my head and laughed while looking at me: "Although youre the Takanes waka-sama, but Ive seen you grown up, so youre just like my little ototou...... theres nothing too hard about it for me, Masters orders is that I listen to waka-samas arrangements, and as long as its an order made by waka-sama, Ill do my very best to fulfill it. Tomorrow at around eight plus Ill still bring waka-sama to look for Asaka ojou-sama, for now Im feeling a little tired, so goodnight, waka-sama."
(TL: ototou = lil brother, i didnt use "oyasuminasai" for gnite coz i want to tone down more on jp words now)
"Mm, good night Mokuzai."
Seeing Mokuzai walk out of the room, I then laid onto the bed. As I looked at the ceiling, I dozed off quickly due to exhaustion from the entire day.
The second morning, Mokuzai was standing beside my bed and anxiously shouting for me who was still sleeping: "Waka-sama, wake up."
With my eyelids still closed, I murmured: "Mokuzai......what are you doing.....let me sleep for a little while longer all right.....its-only-what-time-im-so-tired."
"Waka-sama, wake up quickly, Master is looking for you, hes now waiting in the meeting room."
Hearing that otou-san would be actually looking for me inside the meeting room, I felt that things might be a little serious. My sleepiness instantly dissipated, I quickly sat onto my bed, and followed Mokuzai out of my room; after walking for a while, I finally saw a room which had "MEETING ROOM" these two words plated onto it, as Mokuzai stopped his feet and turned around to say to me.
"We have reached the meeting room, waka-sama go on in, Ill be waiting outside for you."
"Mm."
Pushing open the doors I noticed that otou-san was sitting on the sofa as he drank tea leisurely. As he placed the tea onto the table, his stern-ish hardened face formed a slight trace of a smile: "Hiroto, where have you been last night?"
"Aah? I...I...I didnt go anywhere last night, I was sleeping in my room."
I felt my face turn rather reddish from my first time saying a lie, so I lowered my head, while my left hand clutched onto my right sleeve nervously as attempted to stay modest.
(TL: the author phrased it rather badly at this part ^, this was the best I could arranged it)
"Sigh..... ever since your kaa-san have pa.s.sed on, Ive been busy handling matters about our household; I didnt had time to take care of you and Asaka....I feel rather ashamed of myself towards your kaa-san........Hiroto, do you and Asaka......blame tou-san for this?"
(TL: note the household here was referring to the entire Takane family tree, possibly having many relatives and their kids and all)
"Because tou-san was busy handling stuff about our household, not purposely leaving me and Asaka nee-chan behind........me and Asaka didnt blame tou-san, but we want to follow tou-san as a role model, and next time

when we grow up, we want to do big things like what tou-san does."
(TL: did it sound childish enough? tried to phrase it on how a child would speak when he tried to speak mature-ish)
Tou-sans originally sharp look turned into a gentle gaze; his eyes even had some sparkle in them, as he stretched his hands to stroke Hirotos head, saying: "Hiroto had really grown up, he has now become sensible already. Tou-san wont be so busy today, so I called you here because I wanted to teach you a few things."
I lifted my head up to look confusedly at tou-san: "What kind of things?"
"Number one, family is the greatest gift that heaven could have ever provided us with, so we must treasure our family members."
"Number two, being a man, you must always respect the ladies."
"As about what number three is, when the time comes Ill tell you more about it. Hiroto have you memorized the above two rules?"
"I.......I memorized them."
"Also, Hiroto......"
Suddenly, the telephone which was in front of the tea rang inconspicuously.
"At such a important moment, someone actually dared to cut my conversation.... let me see who it is......."
To see tou-san noticing the caller ident.i.ty, and his eyes slightly glinted sharply.
"Hiroto, youll go on back first, when Asaka had finished being chosen as the shrine maiden, then tou-san will properly talk with you and Asaka."
(TL: it wasnt a typo, hes just so confident on his daughter)
"Mm."
Afterwards I pushed open the door and exited, seeing Mokuzai standing by the door, I closed the meeting rooms doors and we promptly left the area together.
After seeing me leaving the room. tou-san pressed on the "pick-up" dial, and a while of listening to the other partys non-stop talking, tou-sans face changed.
"About this matter, Ive understood. Disperse all the surveillance guards whos watching over the shrine maiden."
Afterwards he slammed the phone down heavily, as he grabbed the entire telephone and flung it onto the sofa.
"Ioshima, huh. heh heh heh heh....."
(TL: this laughter is when someone is so p.i.s.sed off, that they sneered)
Walking to my room, I opened my PC as I said to Mokuzai: "Mokuzai, come and play some games with me."
Mokuzai said hesitantly: "This isnt such a good idea, I still have other things to do."
"Didnt you say last night that youll listen to whatever I ordered you to? Now I want you to play some games with me."
"All right...., waka-sama..........................."
And so me and Mokuzai played an entire days worth of video games, all the way till seven plus in the evening. As me and Mokuzai hadnt eaten our meals yet, we became rather fatigued from playing.
I slapped my forehead as i remembered: "c.r.a.p, right now we must deliver some food to Asaka and Natsu to eat, Mokuzai, right now help me gather more things to eat, remember, bring more food."
Mokuzai simply replied a single word: "Mm."
Then he went on to look for food, and after ten minutes of waiting; I saw that he carried over a package the size of a human head, and as I knelt down to open it up, I noticed that it was all food inside.
"All right thats enough already, Mokuzai lets go deliver the food to Asaka."
After which Mokuzai held me with one hand, as the other gripped onto the package of food; he somersaulted out of the window and sped, which amazingly was faster than the usual by two or three times.
Mokuzai easily brought me over to that same tree as last night, while observing the surroundings he became a little suspicious and said: "Whats going on, why theres no survillience guards tonight?"
"Dont tell me its tou-san?? Mokuzai, isnt it better as theres no one guarding? Lets hurry on in."
"But, theres something fishy about it tonight."
I became a little impatient and said: "Theres nothing suspicious about it, lets hurry up and go in."
No choice but to reluctantly obey my orders, Mokuzai brought me down the tree, and to ensure my safety, he then followed me into the hut.
"Natsu-chan, Asaka, Ive brought something for you guys to eat."
"Hiroto, youve come."
"Hiroto onii-chan, Ive missed you."
From the darkness, Natsu lunged forward and hugged my neck tightly, heavily pouncing me onto the floor.
As Asaka noticed that, she became silent as she bit her lips while watching me and Natsu being intimate with each other.
