Chapter 1: The Difference between Them
Night, the crescent moon was hanging with the glossy stars that is surrounding the earth that looked like crystals.
“Aren’t the star’s beautiful tonight?” asked Iris to Keith. Keith looked happy for a split second then he looked very sad with the look in his eyes.
“I hope we can enjoy this view forever.” The boy said something with a slow tone that barely can be heard.
“Did you say something Keith?” Iris asked with such a fragile cute voice.
The moment Iris asked Keith, he knew that they won’t ever get the time to be together like this ever again.
That is because, in this world there is two type of places that existed. The first one is the Holy Land, the place where n.o.ble peoples build their people’s land with high tech defences from the other people that is called the “Exiled People.”
The Exiled People lived in poverty and they don’t even have a land to live in. They don’t even have the high technologies like the peoples of holy land. Because of that the peoples of Holy Land made a place that is called “Tartarus” as known as the underworld for the poor and low beings outside of the Holy Land’s border fences.
The n.o.ble’s from the Holy Land created the name for the exiled people to live in because the lack of faith and they see the exiled as a lower life form than them.
“Let’s go home, it is dangerous for a n.o.ble daughter to be outside off the border for Exiled at night time like this.” Said Keith to the girl with a smile in his face while shutting his eyes.
“Why do you even said something like that.” Shouted Iris at Keith with a very disappointed face.
“That doesn’t matter right now, It’s not like Exiled peoples are bad peoples anyway!” Said Iris with a large scream with an angry tone.
“Hey! Don’t shout too loud the imperial guard’s will hear us out.” Said Keith to Iris with a slow voice to silence the girl.
Suddenly, the ground rumbling with heavily foot stomps.
“d.a.m.n! they’re already hear.” Said Keith with a shocking expression on his face while holding Iris’s hands tight.
“Hey Stop whatever are you doing right there! We’re the Imperial guards of the Holy Land, drop your weapon and let the girl go.” Said one of the Imperial Guard to Keith.
“Tchh, the Holy Land’s dog’s came huh.” Said Keith to the imperial guards and holding his short wooden sword in front of his face and dropped it.
“You really have some guts there ehh you little insolent kid.” Said one of the imperial guards to Keith.
One of the imperial guards started running towards Keith and then kicked him really hard until the boy coughed blood and then starts punching him while he is in the worst condition ever.
The imperial guard that punched Keith suddenly whispered beside him very slowly. “Don’t fight it kid or you’ll be dead by tomorrow.”
“Hey I think that’s enough right?” said the other imperial guard to the one that is trying to murder Keith to a pulp.
With a disappointing tone the imperial guard that was punching Keith said “I was just getting started with that fresh warm up you know?”
Iris’s tears dripping on her beautiful white face while screaming “Please! Stop this fight pleaseeeee.”
With a cracked voice while couching, Keith said while grinning “Huh! This doesn’t feel a thing to me HAHAHA.”
The boy suddenly got attacked in front of his head by an inch to his eye by the imperial guard’s rifle really hard that the boy pa.s.sed out. It caused a major bleeding to Keith and he got a very deep cut below of his eye.
“That would teach him a lesson or two.” The imperial guard shouted aggressively.
“Noooooo! Keithhhhh.” shouted Iris while screaming in tears.
“A n.o.ble like you shouldn’t be out here in Tartarus at night.” Said the imperial guard that beat up Keith to Iris.
While crying in tears with an angry look on her face, she screamed at the guard “Why can’t we cooperate with the people outside the Holy Land?”
“HAHAHAHA, what did you just said? Cooperate with the low lower beings.”
“They are just a bunch of worthless fools that are far way bellow than us.” Said all the guard there with laughter, except the one that was beating Keith.
Iris was speechless and sad after hearing what the guards were rambling about the exiled peoples.
The imperial guards took her back to the Holy Land forcefully.
Iris looked at the boy who she met a year ago with a pitying expression towards Keith while being dragged by the imperial guards. Tears starts to drip on her chest making the shirt she wears wet.
Time pa.s.sed. 3 years had already pa.s.sed in the blink of an eye, but Keith remembered the tragedy that engraved in his head very clear.
“So today I’ll be 17 huh, looks like the place haven’t changed at all.” Said the boy to himself.
While looking at the crescent moon and the stars constellations he sat down there and said “I remembered clearly the last day that I met her here 3 years ago.”
“Don’t be too dreamy about the past Keith.” Said the handless right hand man.
Keith with a little smirk on his face, he said “I hope I get too see the girl from before again sometimes.”
“By the way, why did you saved me that day?”
“Why did you disobey the imperial guards order Hunter?” Said Keith to the handless right hand man named “Hunter.”
Flashbacks came to Keith’s head about the day that the Hunter attacked the imperial guards alone that night. He attacked them alone with a red embodied demon katana that is called “Oni and Tenshi,” on both of his hand. One of the imperial guards shot him with the gun he aimed at the Hunter, he shoots a single shot to the Hunter. Suddenly the Hunter swiftly slices the bullet in half causes the bullet to pa.s.s beside the Hunters body.
“d.a.m.n you Hunter!” one of the imperial guard’s shouts aggressively to the Hunter.
“AHAHAHHA try and hit me if you can, you Sc.u.m!” said the Hunter to the imperial guard.
Keith while still unconscious, he slightly heard the fighting noises and regained his consciousness a little bit.
He saw a grim event that happened next to him while still on the ground. A lot of blood splashed on his face while still on the ground. The next thing the he saw shocked him. The Hunter’s right arm was sliced in half swiftly by the guard that was torturing keith.
But the next thing he saw shocked him even more. The Hunter’s face while smiling viciously at the imperial guard he stopped the blood that was flowing with his belt tightly that the blood stopped flowing.
“He can even do that huh? What a man.” Said the imperial guard that sliced his right arm while grinning at him.
The hunter suddenly run towards the imperial guard and then slashed the imperial guards blade to pieces. The blade shattered to a million pieces. The imperial guard was shocked due to his sword shattered in front of him.
The imperial guards ran away while saying “we’re going to get you next time the “Hunter’” We’ll remember you.”
The guards ran as fast as they could. In the blink of an eye, they are nowhere to be found.
The Hunter suddenly sat down after the guards ran away. His face were bright white like a dying man on his last breath “corpse.” The Hunter loss so many blood that he can barely even walk. Slowly he lean his back on the fi0eld so that he can rest his body and his mind.
Keith got up and walk’s towards the Hunter and asked him “Are you okay there mister?”
The boy asked in a worried kind of voice.
“Do I look okay to you?” said the Hunter to Keith.
“Thank you for rescuing me mister, you even got your right arm decapitated.” said Keith to the Hunter with a slow monotone.
