The Ceterian Wall Chapter 9

(By the way, I wished to say I take no claim on most images I share, but if there is one that I made, then I’ll be honest about it. Most all images used so far are images I found all over google.)

…...

Phys enters the Inn that she owned, motioning everyone in as she speaks. “Welcome to the Cet.Net Inn, named it out of boredom.”

Pasu nods softly as he enters first, followed by Pym, Helvynia, Violet, Mich.e.l.le, Cinder, and Hynnia. The seven sit down around the ma.s.sive fire in the center of the building as Pasu rubs his head, a slight headache.

Phys folds her hands as she offers a soft smile. “Now, can I get any of you something to drink? I got plenty of drinks, so I can spare a drink on the house for each of you.”

Pasu raises a hand. “Some tea.”

Pym perks up. “Hot Coco!”

Hynnia rubs her chin. “Got anything that comes with bread?”

Violet leans back. “Just some wine will do.”

“I’ll take some of that Honeyed mead.” Helvynia says with a smile.

“Is there some mead fit for G.o.ds?” Mich.e.l.le asks out of habit.

Cinder simply stays silent. With this in mind, Phys gives a nod and a thumbs up as she heads downstairs to get the drinks. Pym stands up as she begins looking around curiously.

“Hey, Pym, don’t go breaking anything.” Pasu urges.

“I won’t, yeesh.” She then stops at a door and opens it, before seeing a large robot in the room, which, while large, is only about as big as a 7’2 human being. She blinks as she stares at the black and gold model of the robot with a curious look on her face. “I wonder what this is… It looks like a prototype…”

Pym pokes her head out from the room, looking at Pasu. “Hey! I found something cool!”

Pasu grumbles as he stands up and comes over. Upon turning around the corner, his eyes widen as he stumbles back a bit. “What in the h.e.l.l?!” He eyes it for a moment. “What is it?”

Pym opens up her ma.s.sive book. “I think I wrote down the plans of such a mech a long time ago… Ah, here!” She starts reading. “The Colony Mech, designed with multiple imported and heavily modified and upgraded materials and equipment meant to look average yet hold immense power. The mech itself is solely designed to carry a maximum colony of 9,048.25 Billion Millennial populace. However, the project was deemed pointless as such a number of people has never even been close to achieved.” She points at the main text. “One feature is the ability to shrink and grow it’s entire form and everything inside it for militaristic or outright combat use, however the power it would require is too far out of reach, so it’s main functions are utterly pointless.”

“So someone managed to do all that over time?” Pasu asks.

She nods. “Yeah, but the issue with that is that it looks to be empty… Either that or the entire colony is in stasis.”

“Okay… But why did they even bother if they thought it was pointless?”

“Maybe the ones who designed it didn’t build it, but some people who found the blueprints.”

“And HOW the h.e.l.l did they manage to get such an enormous engine and power source?”

“I don’t know if they even did. We’re looking at a design that my father took me to see when I was the actual age I currently look like.”

“Wow, talk about ancient tech.”

“Exactly.” She rubs the dust off the mech. “We don’t even know if it was actually finished. When I mentioned the stasis thing, it was just a hunch, truth be told I don’t know What’s going on with this.”

“Fair enough, I suppose.” Pasu rubs his chin. “How would you fix the situation if it needed the power?”

“Well, for starters, it would require a kind of energy that only the most powerful can produce, such as using the great power that the First Emperor had. But given no one else has his power, no one could be used to give it the power.”

“I see…” Pasu rubs his chin thoughtfully. “Do you think that they-”

“If they did, then that would explain why the First Emperor hasn’t showed up since… But it would also mean that they made an entirely new being. This mech is designed to be a ma.s.sive colony that can blend into any and all societies in order to protect it’s populace. And it’s AI itself would be at the highest it can get.”

“How do we figure out if it does?”

“Honestly? I don’t know… See what happens when you touch it.”

“Me? What could I do?!”

“Well, if you really are the reincarnation they all claim you to be, then the mech would respond to you as Lord Ma.s.sore was the lead Seraph Wielder of the Seraph Project.”

“...Ugh… Fine… Guess it’ll tell me whether they’re right or not.”

“Agreed.”

Pasu looks at the mech, before letting out a soft sigh, and reaching his hand out, gently touching the chest of the mech, which, to his surprise, made the mech start to shift, the lights turning on, the multiple tiny servos and mechanics deep under the armor beginning to work, before the eyes eventually turn on, revealing a pair of glowing blue eyes.

“...And I am at a loss for words.” Pasu looks at his hand. “How do I be a normal guy when everyone sees me as this overpowered lord? How the h.e.l.l am I supposed to even be this overpowered guy?”

Pym gives a soft look as the mech groans while placing it’s hand on its face. “Ow… I feel like I was asleep for centuries…” The mech, which sounded male, lowers it’s hand and looks at the two. “...Can I help you two?”

Pasu rubs his neck. “Yeah, uh… You see, I ended up waking you up by… Uh… Placing my hand on your chest, so…”

The mech stares for a moment. “Should I have responded with the female voice then?”

Pasu blushes madly as he looks away. “N-No! That’s not what I meant!” He then goes wide eyed. “WAIT, AREN’T YOU A HE?!”

“I do not have a gender, so I modify my voice to fit what the organics would view as a male or female voice depending on their preference.”

“...” Pasu stares blankly.

“So have you done anything beyond talking and being both and boy and a girl in a sense?” Pym asks.

“I am unsure… It appears that my data banks have been erased, and my memory storage was emptied. I lack sufficient information to give a detailed report.”

Pym slowly nods. “So… Does anything come to mind for you?”

“My programming dictates that I must do and say as the owner of this unit demands. However the owner was designed to be anyone who turns on my systems, which means I am under your command, sir.”

Pasu immediately waves his hands. “Whoa there, no way!”

“Is there and issue?” The mech asks.

“Yeah, I already got a wolf girl calling me master and hubby, a group of three extremely hot and s.e.xy seraphs calling me master, an extremely adorable yet very old girl that is in love with me, and who knows who else out there is going to try and claim me!”

“Would it be best if I was male then?” The mech asks.

“THAT’S NOT THE POINT!”

“I am afraid I must follow and do as you say, master, as per my programming. I am not allowed to obey any orders that require me to leave, harm, or abandon my master.”

“...G.o.d d.a.m.n it.”

Pym whispers to him. “We’re really forming a party. At this point we’re going to need an HQ to keep everyone at.”

“Don’t remind me.” Pasu groans, before turning to the mech. “Hey, how many colonists are in you right now?”

“There a currently 25 Billion Colonists within Stasis, however I cannot wake them up, as it seems someone has eliminated my remote access.”

“So basically a partially full cryo room, and an overall abandoned colony that we could use as we see fit?”

“Correct.”

“...I really want to hide under a bed I own right now.”

“You own all the furniture, stores, structure, void facilities, and more within.”

“...Sweet hot mamma! Let me in then!”

“Scanning… I am sorry, but my ability to grow in size so you can enter has been heavily damaged and is currently being repaired.”

“...G.o.d d.a.m.n it.” Pasu places his hands on his hips. “Go figure, should have known it was too good to be true.”

“What is?” Pym asks.

“If he was able to, I would’ve been able to do whatever the h.e.l.l I wanted in there, even create whatever the h.e.l.l I wanted too.”

“Ah…” Pym slowly nods. “I agree, that seemed too easy…”

“Well, I suppose you could tag along, we could always use someone to carry extra baggage.”

“Of course, sir. I can still shrink and grow objects for use.”

“...Couldn’t you do that with us?”

“Negative, it does not work on my master or their companions, but it works on dead corpses and animals.”

“...That just went from useful to creepy.” Pasu waves it off. “Anyways, come on, we got some stuff to do.”

“Of course, Master.” The mech follows Pasu out as said man looks at them. “Now, a name… Let’s go with Alpha.”

“Alpha?”

Pym folds her arms. “Is your imagination for names going dull?”

“No, I wanted to think of a name that doesn’t describe gender, but works for a robot. I could’ve just as easily said Zeta, Omega, Delta, or even Epsilon.”

“Hmm… I suppose that makes sense. Alpha it is then.” Pasu nods with a soft smile.
