Chapter 15 Scandal- Even if you cry, you need to finish the cake you made.
While Tang Mi was still troubled about coming up with a new cake, the scandal between her and CEO Yu slowly started to spread throughout the restaurant.
None of the workers in the lobby sat with her during lunch, all of them stared at her with despise and jealousy in their eyes.
Tang Mi picked up her food tray then brazenly walked over to Supervisor Yu and smiled at her.
Supervisor Yu sighed and resentfully looked over at her. "You should just come clean to us about your relationship with CEO Yu, otherwise youll end up being victimised."
Tang Mi: "&h.e.l.lip;"
She pursed her lips together and smiled at Supervisor Yu. "You cant a.s.sume a relationship between CEO Yu and I based on just one word he said."
Supervisor Yu retorted, "Ill believe your argument if he calls me sweetheart as well."
Tang Mi."&h.e.l.lip;"
Would you promise if he calls you sweetheart?
Supervisor Yu continued, "In fact we all saw CEO Yu smile. You think you can trick us?! Tell me, what kind of evil intentions do you have with him!"
Tang Mi felt a little helpless. "Okay. So what if CEO Yu really had smiled? Who made the rule that he couldnt smile? What if hed encountered something that made him happy, wouldnt you at least let him smile?"
"Thats why we suspect the happiness hes found is love, and that the partner he found you!" Supervisor Yu huffed and ferociously pointed her finger at Tang Mi, as if she were some criminal.

Supervisor Yus finger stayed anch.o.r.ed onto her, but her expression became warm. "We dont want to break you guys apart, were just worried about you! Think about it, with CEO Yus status, his family members wouldve already chosen a wife for him. Hes only playing you right now, dont you think youll be the one getting hurt in the end?"
Tang Mi paused for a moment. Hm, she actually had a point.
A family like CEO Yus would use marriage as an investment, except, CEO Yus situation would be a little unusual, would his future wife be able to handle him?
Supervisor Yu saw her expression relax and nodded her head in satisfaction. "You can still be saved, take some time to think about it."

Meanwhile, Luo Hao and Doctor Zhang were waiting at Yu Yis house. The moment the door opened, both of them stood up.
Yu Xins lips carried a hint of a smile as he walked in. One hand ruffled through his hair, the other threw his car keys onto the lounge room coffee table.
Luo Haos brows raised a little, Doctor Zhang a.s.sessed his actions then smiled. "Long time no see, Yu Xin."
Yu Xin laughed and sat down on the sofa in front of him. "Well, for you, wouldnt you prefer to not see me at all, Doctor Zhang?"
Doctor Zhang maintained the smile on his face and said no more. Luo Hao, however, was unable to calm down. "When did you appear? Where did you go?"
Yu Xin looked over at him, eyes dyed with unmistakable interest. "I went to the restaurant to find Sweetheart."
Luo Haos heart literally crumbled, this was the worst possible outcome! Ah, no, he should be thankful Yu Xin didnt go straight to the office!
He took a deep breath to mentally prepare himself and asked, "What did you do at the restaurant?"
Yu Xin shrugged his shoulders. "Didnt have time to do much before Sweetheart dragged me away."
Luo Hao breathed a sigh of relief, if he could, he would give Tang Mi a raise.
Doctor Zhang glanced over at him. "Theres no need to be so tense, Id been meaning to talk to Yu Xin as well."
Yu Xin gently laughed, "Oh? You wanted to talk to me? Isnt your job to make me disappear?"
Doctor Zhang stared at him and curved his lips up into a smile. "I want to hear your thoughts on Tang Mi."
Yu Xin raised his brows slightly, smiling through his eyes. "I felt interested from the very first time I met her. She had a faint, creamy scent that was pleasantly fragrant. Her cakes also caught my interest. I could feel absolute happiness and satisfaction from just one bite of her cake."
Doctor Zhang was utterly delighted from his detailed description. "Do you like her?"
"Of course, I like her a lot."
Doctor Zhang laughed out, "You are much more honest than Yu Yu."
Yu Xin parted his lips slightly to say, "Could you not compare me to him? Even farmers can be more expressive than him."
Luo hao. "&h.e.l.lip;"
Doesnt this count as personal ridicule?
Doctor Zhang replied, "Its not that he cant express his emotions, he just has difficulty feeling them at all."
"Then thats even worse. Hes degraded to a point where even farmers have higher standards than him."
Luo hao. "&h.e.l.lip;"
He remembered CEO Yu has memories of Yu Xin.
Doctor Zhang replied, "Hell get better."
Yu Xin raised his brows. "When will that be? The day I disappear? Lets bring this back to home, youre clearly a doctor, dont you think what youre doing is murder?"
"I dont believe thats the case. You originated from a part of Yu Yi, so if there was a day you disappeared, it wouldnt be me killing you, it would be the host maturing."
Yu Xin stretched and yawned, leaning back against the sofa, silently watching Doctor Zhang. Doctor Zhangs pair of deep, dark eyes stared back at him. His eyes glistened like a waters reflection as Yu Xin slowly sank into a deep sleep.
Luo Hao saw Yu Xin suddenly close his eyes, slightly worried, he asked, "What happened?"
"Nothing much, just hypnosis."
Luo hao: "&h.e.l.lip;"
To be honest, he was quite terrified of these type of psychologists. In fact, hed heard that Doctor Zhang had some bad records before he graduated.
The man who awoke from the sofa had already returned to his emotionless, blank state.
"CEO Yu?" Luo Hao treaded lightly. Yu Yi looked over at him and softly responded.
Doctor Zhang stared at Yu Yi and happily asked. "Did something happen yesterday that upset you?"
Luo Hao replied, "Lin Che went to the restaurant to find Tang Mi, I suspect to dig up our pillars."
Yu Yi moved his attention onto him and Luo Hao quickly shut up.
Doctor Zhang chuckled. "Yu Yi, Tang Mi has quite the influence over you, she has more capability to cure you than I do."
Yu Yi silently watched him.
After Tang Mi had returned home from work, Fu Xin was standing anxiously in the kitchen. Tang Mi changed into her slippers and peeked at her. "What are you doing?"
Fu Xin, burdened with grief, turned her head towards her. "Tang Tang, I made a black tea chiffon cake, but its so stiff and ugly."
Tang Mi pursed her lips and glanced at the stove. "If its stiff, then there wasnt enough time put into it, you also mixed the ingredients wrongly. Did you flip it from the bottom side up?"
Fu Xin thought seriously for a while. "I dont remember."
Tang Mi responded with an "I understand" expression. "If its ugly&h.e.l.lip; and it really is a little ugly, there was air in the dough, which is why large bubbles wouldve formed. There are b.u.mps on your icing because you didnt smooth it out with your spatula."

Tang Mi washed her hands and poured some water into a measuring cup. She sprinkled some sugar into a pot as Fu Xin watched her. Curious, she asked, "What are you doing?"
"Making a little caramel for toppings, itll bring out the fragrance better. This can be tomorrows breakfast, lets not waste food."
Fu Xin put on a sour face. "Can we not eat this? Its really hard and ugly&h.e.l.lip;"
Tang Mi glanced at her. "Even if you must cry, you need to finish the cake you made."
Fu Xin. "&h.e.l.lip;"
Tang Mi placed the caramel toppings into the fridge and saw a large bowl of scrambled eggs with tomatoes. She squinted at it and turned back to face Fu Xin, "Were you preparing to eat tomatoes and eggs for the next three days?"
Fu Xin replied, "Those were the failed eggs I tried cracking, so I could only cook them with tomatoes."
Tang Mi looked over at the egg cartons and it had indeed been emptied at least halfway. "Didnt I prepare some egg whites for you before? Why didnt you use them?"
"The writing you had on it looked like some weird code, I was too scared to use it."
Tang Mi. "&h.e.l.lip;"
She took out the last egg white she could see and exited the kitchen. Fu Xin followed her and asked, "Are you going to make a cake?"
"Mm, I have to bring a new cake to CEO Yu tomorrow."
Fu Xins eyes lit up. "Youre going to meet CEO Yu tomorrow? Could you ask him to set up an interview for me~"
"&h.e.l.lip;Were not that close yet."
Fu Xin felt resentful at her lack of effort, "Well you should hurry and get closer, that way we can both benefit! Once I get an interview, then get promoted, I can bring you to a bigger house where we can both live!"

The next day, Tang Mi arrived on time to work. The appointment she had with Yu Yi was at 3pm, which was when she was on break at the restaurant. To maintain the freshness of the cake, she purposely decided to prepare it at midday.
At this time, Yu Yi was sitting in his office and a.n.a.lysing the various business statements from the restaurants. Luo Hao checked the time and walked into his office to remind him, "CEO Yu, its 12 oclock."
Yu Yis head stayed where it was. "Please order me some takeout."

Yu Yi pondered for a short while before closing the doc.u.ments in front of him. He stood up and replied, "I understand."
When Yu Yi had been studying overseas in university, he had moved out by himself. His parents didnt normally contact him, but with how much theyd been urging him to return home, it definitely wasnt going to be a simple lunch.
From the moment he came home, it was exactly as he had predicted. Aside from his parents, even Bai Xiao was there.
The Bai Familys business owned the largest vegetable and fruit farm, with a large influence on many foreign products. Both its quality and taste were quite good.
