Chapter 1.
Human beings—they’re nothing but trash.
I cowered in the depths of a deep cave, and even as I was being tormented by incessant pains, I continued to spit out curses.
That was the only thing I could do.
Exhausted and unable to properly rest, my body can’t move very well.
I’m so hungry that stomach acid is burning my insides, and even my eyes spin with dizziness.
My breathing feels feverish and unstable.
If I actually fell sick at this point, it’d really be the end for me.
I didn’t want to admit that I’ve been driven into a corner.

Dying a lonely death, by myself, in such an unknown place as this...
I wonder what sins I have committed to have to meet a fate like this.

I havent done anything.
They are the ones who did it. At most, I was only a victim.

Because when this hatred fades away completely... I think that my existence will probably disappear at the same time as well.

With my heart filled with hopelessness, I turned my gaze towards the sound while still crouched.
Standing there, with a semi-liquid body structure, was a creature over two meters tall.

That’s what we called them, the natural enemies of human beings.
The creature we conveniently named ‘Slime’, despite not having any eyes, seemed to have found me. It approached with an agility one wouldn’t expect from its appearance.
I didn’t even think about escaping. In the first place, I don’t even have enough physical strength left to stand up.
