Former village girl and the Flag Crusher Prince

Chapter 01 The Memory of my previous life



The first thing I remembered was the feeling of my hair being cut as preparation for the execution, my head felt lighter and fresh and I laughed at myself for thinking in that way after all, I was going to die in the guillotine.

A cart rattles on the stone-paved floor. After it, I'm marching tied my hands up being the public's show of the day.
The man in front of me looks over the city's people, everybody have reunited to see my excution as they yell at me and bitterly swear...

"Excuse me, what time it now?"

The watch-guard looked back at me suspicious, he hesitated and said, "It will be evening soon"
I smiled and whispered "Thank you" but after a moment, a stone hit my head. While I hold my head and groan in pain I hear the voice of a woman, who must have been the one that thrown the stone at me.

"She was trying to seduce the watch-guard!! That witch!!"

The people nearby started to yell...
"She's an evil woman! The late Emperor was bewitched by her to make this country miserable!!"
"She's a villain"
"The country is ruined because of her!!"
"She demanded heavy taxes to be paid only to mantain her luxury living style"
"The was started because her, she deceit the enemy King"
"Useless trash! Wicked monster!!"

Lies.
That's wrong.
Nothing of that is my fault.

The Emperor had to increase the taxes to cost the war.

The war started because the enemy country leader wanted the resources of this country.

But... It doesn't matter now. Even if I try to tell them they don't listen to me.
They keep yelling and throwing stones and rock that I hardly stop with my hurted arms.
The watch-guard smirk and yell at me "Shut up", it's useless...
I don't have any ally or friend anymore... Who will listen to my explanation now?

I closed my mouth and focused on the ground, a minutes later the cart stoped in front of a wood square.
Over it, there was the guillotine that will cut my head.
"We reached the destination, move!!" Violently pulling my arm I was led to the execution ground.
They make me kneel in front of the crowd

"Sinner! Guilty! The former Empress Samella Einzatz deserve die!!"

The executioner started reading a long list of "my charges"

"You disturbed the order of the Empire, acting in favor of the Emperor Horan, who drowned in his ambition of power and mischief, and bring all this violence against the Empire.
All the n.o.bles, who dared to opose you, were killed, and finally you tried to poison His Majesty, The Honorable Emperor Holland."

They worked hard creating quite a lot of fake charges but I don't have the energy to argue, specially because I know it's in vain.
Even if I tell them the truth they won't believe me. They only believe what the powerful say

I didn't have tears left to cry when I saw the head of my family, friends and anyone who tryied to help me, were lined in the front of the execution table

"Therefort, the Empress Samella Einzatz shall be executed"

The only thought on my mind was ... "Why did this happened?"
While seeing the mix of joy and hatred in the face of everyone there I wondered "When... What did I wrong?"

Until my 13th birthday I was just a village girl.
An Emperor official saw me when visiting the fields in the harvest and said he'll take me the the Emperor Court.
n.o.body could refuse to an Emperor offical's order because the penalty was death and so, I was exchanged for a large reward,
the official took me and make me enter the Inner Palace.

I was told many times that n.o.body can go to see the Emperor without an imperial order, I believed that and lived quietly in the palace trying to avoid attencion.
But it was not of use, shortly after the Emperor called me.
It seems that a village girl who avoid the luxury and live quietly was something rare and "exotic" among the n.o.bles.
The Emperor remembered me and called for me several times...
They started calling me "The village girl with just beauty" That was correct I didn't have anything but my look
I was inferior to any other princess or n.o.ble there in manners, etiquette and education.

The Emperor repeatedly praised my beauty but nothing more than my apparence. And that's exactly why the Emperor chosed me.
That's why they make me "their political enemy" and the incompetent that's the culprit of the actual state of the country.
Everything was over when I realized my situation. The false charges, the evidence "that I poisoned the Emperor" and before I could
defend myself or pledge I was thrown into prison while all my family and friends were executed.

The New Emperor told the story to the people on a way that anyone that objected or questioned my execution will be posed as a Country Traitor.
In this way, I'll pa.s.s to the history as the most terrible and evil villain of this country.

"Oh , yes" By the time that everything was discovered, I'll be already dead.

"Well,..."
She's a beautifull village girl
There's nothing more, so it's the end
Haha... That was funny and I laughed

"Yes!! Yes!!"
The voice of the people become louder, sign that my head will be soon near my parent's ones
Near the moment of dead, Do people usually get terriefied or excited? I looked to the blue sky while my vision started to be blurry and pray
"Please... if you feel pity for me, don't let me meet with anybody powerfull ever again!
I cried in my heart and ... I don't remember anything more. My last life ended there.

But why?
Why life is so cruel?
I lost my past life because I was loved by the powerful people of the time and now...
I'm part of that powerful people!!

I grabbed my hand fan that was closed pending of my wrist.
I made up my mind about what to ask first before start speaking.

"Before that, Your Highness... What are you planning to do with the Sacred Sword and its anvil?"

"This?... I'm ashamed to say that I can't get rid of the antril to retrieve the Sacred Sword.
Therefore, I borrowed it for my sword practices, and take the whole piece. It was a good as hammer training"
