Destiny Demons 3 Abby - 3

I finished drying myself and walked into the bedroom. My wardrobe was still here and out of curiosity I walked over and opened the heavy cherry oak door. There, inside, were my clothes, clothes that I had loved as Dru. They had been perfectly cared for and as black as I remembered them. I ran my fingers through them feeling the leather and cloth that hung in front of me.I grabbed a pair of pants and a low-cut halter top. I slid the pants up over my hips and surprisingly they fit perfectly, as if they were made for this body not the last. The top, however, wrapped around my torso and hung loose around my small bust. I laughed at the thought of how much like my old body this new body was, except for one place. My b.r.e.a.s.t.s were much, much smaller now.I started tightening the chords up the sides and under each breast, synching it smaller around me until it was tight around my chest. Finding a pair of scissors in the nightstand, I cut the access chords off, as I didn't need them anymore.I looked around the room and spotted my purse in the chair that I set it in when we came in the night before. I ran over and dug out my makeup and ran back over to the mirror to put it on.I put my eyeliner on in a thick dark black line on my eyelids with a smoky thin line underneath my bottom lashes. I batted my eyes after I added mascara and felt pleased with my appearance."You look as beautiful as ever, Drusilla." I turned, already knowing who it was, and saw him. Ares stood with one arm perched on top of my wardrobe. His perfect long, dark hair flowed over his shoulders with his open brown tunic. His light eyes gazed at me and a smile spread across his face. "Welcome back, my love," his perfect bell-like voice rang with his old accent. His eyes looked me up and down before remarking, "I'll have to say, Dionysus did a great job in picking this body. I think I like it even better than the last.""Why, thank you, Ares, but it isn't Drusilla anymore." I was starting to feel much more comfortable in my own skin and as I did I began to slink toward him. "It's Abby, and I am feeling much more like myself.""Oh, yes, my love, your immortality is your own now. You have your memories, your training, your clothes, your blood. And I know it is Abby, I just wanted to say Drusilla one last time." He finished with a smile on his perfect face.He was right though, my immortality, my clothes, my blood, my home, my confidence. My sensuality that came from the Kethra blood that coursed through my veins. I strutted toward Ares and looked deep in his eyes, only inches from his face. I blinked and my fangs pushed on my bottom lip as I said, "Oh, Ares, yes, I do have my memories. All of my memories. Even that night…" I stopped, tilting my head back for a kiss.He moved closer and I turned just as his lips touched mine. I casually walked back to the nightstand and I heard him growl under his breath. Suddenly, I spotted my old onyx stone necklace that Ares had given me in case I ever needed to call him, or wanted to call him. Then his arms were around my waist and I could feel his breath on my neck. His lips skimmed my ear as he said, "Look in the drawer." He kissed my neck that sent a chill up my back then he let me go.
I opened the drawer to find an old brown book that I immediately recognized. I turned back but Ares was gone. I heard a faint voice remark. "Farewell, my love."I smiled to myself at my unexpected visitor. There was a knock at the bedroom door. "Come in," I chimed. At that, Adam came in and stopped dead in his tracks. He looked at me, his mouth gaped open and I could almost see the drool. "Wow, you look…" he looked me over again and I raised an eyebrow asking him to continue his comment. He walked up to me and looked into my eyes. I could see his eyes dancing between mine. "Different," he finally finished, "I've never seen you wear anything like this. I like it.""Good, because this is what I like," I smiled as I moved to grab my boots."What is this?" Adam asked as he grabbed the book from the nightstand drawer that I had left open.I looked at it in his hands and answered, "That would be my old diary. My entire life is in that book. You wanna know about my life, read that. Everything is in there," I stepped forward and he pulled it closer to him."Is that so? Could I read it?" Adam asked. His eyes lit up and I knew he really didn't know about my life."Are you sure? It's not some love story or nursery rhyme. It's not Laylan. It's six hundred years of hardships and the darkest of human emotion.""I know, but I wanna know everything about you," he said with a plea in his eyes.

I smiled and took the book from his hands. "Why don't we read it together?""Okay," his answer was short and amused.I turned and sat at the edge of the bed. Adam sat next to me, facing me. I looked into his eyes and smiled. I turned my attention to the diary and began to read.
