G.o.d of Meng said. The old man put on respectful expressions and bowed with the young man, "Greetings, Young Master."

G.o.d of Meng had become the lord of the Deserted World after unifying it whereas Lu Li was his Saint Lord, which had made Lu Li's position more distinguished. Ke Lv could not treat him carelessly.

"This is unnecessary. Please rise." Lu Li lifted his hands in modesty to let the two forgo formalities.

Then he looked at the young man and asked, "Clan Leader Ke, this is?"

"Oh, he is my grandson!"

Ke Lv looked at the young man fondly and continued, "He is a talent to the Shadowland Race rarely seen for 10,000 years. His name is Ke Mang and he is our future Clan Leader. He will go with you this time."

"Eh?"

Lu Li was surprised. The Clan Leader of the Shadowland Race was sending his own grandson instead of going on his own? Was his grandson's skills more powerful than his?

Noticing Lu Li's confusion, Ke Lv smiled and explained, "In creating shadowlands and illusions, my grandson is more proficient than me. He has the most powerful mastery Shadowland Skill. But he is inexperienced still. We will appreciate you offering guidance to him, Young Master and Lord Meng."

"It is my pleasure to be able to offer you my services." Ke Mang bowed with respect and replied. Successful and young as he was, he wasn't arrogant, which delighted Lu Li.

"Let's go!"

Lu Li waved his hand and stepped into the Teleportation Formation. They were traveling north. The pa.s.sage was located in a valley at the northern border.

Many Teleportation Formations were built and there was one in each big race or clan. After arriving at a big clan, Lu Li and the others flew toward the north without any stop.

After more than two hours, they reached a huge valley. G.o.d of Meng had it sealed off. There was a tent outside where a patriarch from the t.i.tan Race was guarding.

Lu Li inspected it and saw many hidden sentries on both sides of the valley. There were some invisible Inhibition Formations as well. He exclaimed to himself how careful G.o.d of Meng was.

"Let's go!"

G.o.d of Meng led the way and headed to the depth of the valley. It was dark inside. The deeper they were in, the darker it was. Many scouts were guarding in out-of-sight areas as well.

After walking for an hour, they reached the end of the valley, an abyss. G.o.d of Meng pointed downward and said, "The pa.s.sage is down there!"

"Move!"

Lu Li released his Fate Wheel and others their Beads of Life. They whooshed down. Flying downward for 1000 feet, they found themselves in black fog. G.o.d of Meng began to shrink down his body while Ye Cha and others began to take on disguise as well. Ke Mang put on eye patches so that his strange eyes would not be seen.

G.o.d of Meng took the lead followed by Lu Li. Ke Mang was behind Lu Li and Ye Cha was covering for them at the back.

They continued to go down. Soon, they touched an Inhibition Formation. After a glare, they began to spin. They felt dizzy. Evidently, they were being teleported out.

After the time for one incense stick to burn, Lu Li sensed he had landed. He opened his eyes at once and began to check surroundings with psychic power.

It was a cave with a blue glare. G.o.d of Meng and the others were all nearby. They didn't seem to be nervous.

"Don't worry, Saint Lord!"

G.o.d of Meng had changed into the appearance of a middle-aged man. His dark golden skin looked just tanned and he had on an armor which gave him a majestic look.

He explained, "This is a cave in the wild. There were many strong Xuan Beasts nearby. When I found this pa.s.sage, I had someone dig more tunnels and build a maze. It's a difficult place for warriors to find."

"Okay!"

Brawny as he was, G.o.d of Meng was also thoughtful. Seeing that Lu Li had recovered, G.o.d of Meng walked out. After treading on for a couple of miles, Lu Li found himself at the end of the road and facing a stone wall.

"No, something is off~"

Lu Li inspected the stone wall and found some signs of Inhibition Formation. He nodded and said, "This stone wall is quite good. People with weak psychic powers cannot even realize it is not a wall."

Third Patriarch knocked on the wall for three times. The stone wall glared and began to move down, revealing a pa.s.sage. G.o.d of Meng showed the way outside. There were indeed many pa.s.sages and tunnels extending in all directions like a maze, just like he said.

Wolves were fast but not as fast as Lu Li and others. Soon, they got rid of the wolf pad and pressed forward to the north.

While showing the way, Third Patriarch explained, "This is the northernmost of the Serenity Plains. We are at the territory of a nearby fifth rank force. There aren't many powerful warriors and they won't notice us. We will be heading north for half a day to reach the Serene Cloud Sea. Going across that, we will arrive at the Clouds Plains. If we control our speed, it will take us like seven or eight days to arrive at the Drifting Cloud Hall from here. If we fly at our top speeds, though, we will arrive in three or four days at most."

"Let's slow down. We must act with caution!"

Lu Li had been searching for Lu Ling for over two years now. He could afford a few extra days. It would be easier for them to save a person while remaining low key. Otherwise, if they were exposed before they even reached the Drifting Cloud City, it would be most undesirable.
