They rested for a day by the river. Lu Li and Jiang Qiling dined to their hearts' content, then Lu Li went for a good and long sleep in his tent. Sleep was the best elixir. Sometimes, sleeping was better than taking many soul nurturing pellets.
Lu Li enjoyed a feast again after he woke up before he flew everyone back to their base camp. Jiang Qiling was too weak and she must have a good rest. Lu Li's plan was to send them back and move out on his own.
Jiang Qiling declined the idea when she heard it and claimed she wanted to go with Lu Li. This time, Lu Li put his foot down and demanded her going back.
At last, she agreed. She understood that since her soul was too weak now, it would take 10 days or even half a month before she could even walk again. She would need two or three months to fully recover.
During the two or three months, she wouldn't be of any help to Lu Li. Instead, she would become a burden to him. She agreed to go back because she knew Lu Li had come to gain points to get Bai Qiuxue elixirs.
Lu Li flew them back to the base camp on his Fate Wheel. They ran into some alien races along the way. He could deal with those alien races alone without help from others.
Several days pa.s.sed but they didn't encounter any large group of humans. They only saw several human warriors who were more likely to be scouts. Lu Li didn't pay attention to them as he hurried back to the base camp.
Lu Li flew directly toward the base camp in a fast speed. In just five or six days, they arrived nearby where there were more human warriors. They stared at him as if he was some monster.
Lu Li said nothing along the way and showed no expressions. n.o.body could tell whether he was happy or upset. By the time they arrived at the base camp, they met even more human warriors. Lu Li saw two familiar faces from the distance, Lu Lin and Lu Hongyu.
The two was delighted when they saw Lu Li from afar. Lu Li and Lu Lin made some eye contact and they both understood something.
Jiang Qiling thought Lu Li would have a cow but he said nothing and did nothing except to bring them to a corner and wait for Jiang Hu to build them tents.
The news of Lu Li coming back caused quite a sensation at the base camp. Many young masters and young ladies from the northern Central Plains gathered around.
Lu Li and Jiang Qiling had no time to chit-chat with them. But they did send Jiang Hu out to gather some intelligence. By the time their tents were built, Jiang Hu came back with information.
The troops of human warriors were on their way to rescue Jiang Qiling and Lu Li. When they learned that Lu Li had defeated the armies of four alien races, the troop came back to the base camp, after which Ji Mengtian, Yang Xuan, and Lu Suan all left with their teams to hunt down alien races.

Lu Li smiled coldly. Lu Suan, Ji Mengtian, and the others must be afraid to meet him.
Lu Li didn't ask for details. He asked Jiang Hu to gather all the warriors from both major and minor families of the northern Central Plains and gave them an order—unless they were leaving the base camp to fight alien races, they must gather around and protect Jiang Qiling.
Then Lu Li told Jiang Hu and others to call more warriors over to protect her and that he would chop Jiang Hu's head off if he came back with a hurt Jiang Qiling.

Jiang Qiling walked out from her tent and said, "This is the base camp. Usually, it is crowded with people and alien races will not have the guts to come here. Do you think anyone of our human warriors have the courage to kill me here? You can put your mind at ease and go."
Jiang Qiling handed Lu Li a bottle of pellets and said, "These are all the Toxin Protection Pellets I have. You must be careful if you run into the Voodoo Race. Also… if you see you-know-who, don't kill them. Revenge is a dish best served cold."
Jiang Qiling understood very well what the objective of Lu Li's trip was. He would not only kill alien races to collect points but also to get even with Ji Mengtian and the others. Jiang Qiling knew him very well to learn that he would not swallow this anger.
Lu Li nodded. Jiang Qiling whispered to him again, "I think they all have valuables protecting their souls. That one has the Quasi Relic. Don't push yourself too far. If…you died, I would not live in the world without you."
Lu Li nodded solemnly. Then he stroked her hair openly and left with determination after giving her pa.s.sionate looks.

Lu Suan, Yang Xuan, Ji Mengtian, and Die Feiyu all had valuables to protect their souls. Ji Mengtian even had Quasi Relic. It was possible that…Yang Xuan and Lu Suan also had pieces of Quasi Relic. So what?

They even dashed toward him in excitement when they saw him alone and thought they could torture him and kill him.

As for alien races with protections over their souls, Lu Li never met such ones. He ran across many human teams during this half a month but he was disappointed—he never saw Ji Mengtian, Yang Xuan and Lu Suan, not even one of them.
He speculated that Ji Mengtian, Yang Xuan, and Lu Suan must have sent out scouts. His whereabouts must not be a secret to them so they would avoid meeting with him.
