[Saint Doll] Arc 1 Chapter 9 – Gun and Strong Arm, Shin and Yuri
A few days later.
Shin has been repeating his training and subjugation request.

Gain swing his battle axe against the ground with one hand.
Instantly, the battle axe splits the ground with a roar.
Together with a small earthquake, It creates a crater and lot of small rifts on the ground.

“How about a Mad Boar ?”

Shin doesn’t have any idea about an Earth Dragon and used the only thing he knows for comparison, to which Gain responds with unbelievable answer.
“That is why people who knows about me will never approach the range of my axe. Though I do have a way to deal with those situation”

“So, let me confirm it. The power to decide a battle. You have it right ?”
Hearing Gain’s question, Shin resolved himself and decides to show him his hand.
“This is my power”
Together with his voices, the Desert Eagle appeared in Shin’s hand.
He created one in an instant and showed it to Gain without pointing the muzzle at him.
“Creation type huh. That’s a tool called Gun right ? Is that even good enough for an Adventurer ?”
“It’s stronger than the matchlock”
Gain asked the obvious question. Shin then aimed the gun at a stone the size of person head nearby and fires it. As the bullet hit its target, the rock was crushed from the impact. Gain raises his voice unconsciously after seeing those.

Gain spread his right arm to the side and instruct Shin to shoot the gun at his palm.

The bullet travelling faster than speed of sound hit Gain’s palm directly, it pushed his arm backward about 30cm and then stopped.
There’s no sign that Gain’s arm is torn, nor a sign of the bullet penetrating his palm. When Shin confirmed that, he sighed in relief… and then Gain’s fist fall on top of his head.

“Why are you relieved when your trump card just got stopped!!
…Well, then again If not for my [Strong Arm] it would be pulverized normally”
Gain groaned in pain as he removed the bullet and threw it on the ground.
He then relaxed his posture and smiled.
“That will do. Ok then, how will you use it ?”

Shin was wondering about the meaning of Gain’s question and replied back nonchalantly, to which Gain responded with large sigh.

“Then for now, you should stick with using it in close proximity. Try to get close to sword range, and then grapple your enemy. Shoot them in their stomach or wherever possible, and when the other party flinched, shoot them in the head or throat”
Gain instructed Shin while pointing to his neck and head, and Shin murmured when he imagined doing that with the gun in his hand.
“Since you can release destructive power and inflict fatal injury just by flicking your finger, you should do it in a distance where it absolutely can’t be avoided. Your opponent might also wear a chainmail, so you should also prepare a knife for such case”

With hesitation, Yuri took Shin’s extended arm and stand up.
Then, she declares.
