Afterwards, Otorine and the young Na.s.sus came back to Ru's place safe and sound. As she glanced around the place, her eyes noticed that Miro was nowhere to be seen,"I wonder where Miro had gone?".Even little Na.s.sus looked dumbstruck as well. The dazzling Ru popped out from the kitchen alongside the magical moving plush doll. In which it was carrying a hot steamy chicken pie on a steel tray. Ru made a blooming smile,"Sorry to keep you waiting Mir—.".Ru was dumbfounded as well. Since, Miro wasn't at his table anymore,"Huh? Where's Miro?".Ru shifted to look at Otorine,"Ori, have you seen Miro? He was just sitting there a few minutes ago...".Otorine replied unsurely,"That I wanna know too...".The young Na.s.sus was feeling more and more worried for Miro's whereabouts as well. Ru crossed her arms and made a stressful look,"Sigh, and I just told him not to go out, as there are rumors spreading...".Otorine asked,"What rumors?".Ru made a few uncertain gestures,"Something about Omega or calling was it? Although I don't know what the h.e.l.l is that as well. Yet, I feel something strange is going on outside...".Otorine agreed and crossed her arms,"Yeah, I've noticed it as well. The hallways looked deserted and the air was different.".Ru was convinced,"Thought so, by the way...".She pointed to the west,"Go through our recently installed teleport circle and it'll transfer you two to Mai's place safely. I'm sure both of you need a shut-eye...".As Otorine and the youthful Na.s.sus looked westward, they saw that there was a blue magical pentagram that was rotating and glowing endlessly. Otorine bowed and thanked Ru for the convenience and hospitality,"Thanks as always Ru...".Both of them stepped on the magical pentagram. Sooner or later, bright starry lights were swirling and coursing around them. The next moment, they were instantly gone, as they were transferred to Mai's inn in the speed of light. As usual, Mai's inn was cozy and humble in appearance in a fantasy setting. Strange thing is, the one at the counter was Mai. Though, Otorine and little Na.s.sus saw that Mai was in her full battle armor. Her armor was similar to the likes of the s.e.xy and valiant armor of the said valkyries. Although, she also had bunny ears headband attached on top of her head. Otorine and the young Na.s.sus approached Mai. Mai greeted them complacently but, her tone was fierce as ever, while her hands were holding her hips,"Welcome Ori, I'm sure Ru already told you...".Otorine responded,"Yeah, by the way Mai...why are you in that get up?".Mai looked frustrated suddenly,"I HAVE MY REASONS OKAY! Also, Yumi's at the middle room. And we've already prepared the bedding for you four...".Otorine was flabbergasted by Mai's weird reaction. Though, Otorine had stopped being bothered that much. Instead, she just replied normally,
"Okay...and four?".Otorine and Na.s.sus just ignored Mai's over the top get up and strange reaction. They just ascended the st.u.r.dy wooden stairs. Although, Otorine overheard Mai's voice mumbling in embarra.s.sment,"Geez Xyphon...why do you even want me to wear something like this...you pervert! Ugh, why did I even marry that guy...To think I became his cosplay toy...".Though, Otorine just didn't mind Mai's personal problem. Sooner or later, Otorine and little Na.s.sus entered the middle room. Yumine was there to greet them with a cheerful smile, while she was holding her hands together as a teenage friend,"Ori! Na.s.sus! Thank goodness you two were able to come back safe and sound!".After that, Yumine told more,"Mai, Ru, and Lilieth said that something weird is going on outside. Not only that, she sensed that her friends were tired as well. There, Otorine sat on one of the four clean white beds. As Otorine was looking around, the place was simple. As it was a small bedroom slathered in the theme of mocha and caramel but, it had a flatscreen tv at the side. The blending cabinets, wooden walls, essential appliances were very much maintained. While for little Na.s.sus he flopped to the bed and lied down comfortably. Afterwards, Yumine sat beside Otorine,"So...care to share it now?".Otorine explained in brief, especially her encounter with Weissia at the central dome, as well as the odd atmosphere along the hallways. Though, Otorine didn't explain her meeting with the adult Na.s.sus for some reason. As Otorine was done elaborating, Yumine was dumbfounded and surprised,"Huh? She's hiding something, under the facade of craving ice creams...".Otorine nodded,"I see, thanks for the suggestion Yumi...".Later, Ira emerged from the bathroom at the side. Otorine greeted Ira. Ira did the same. Yumine remembered something important,"Oh yeah, since the inn was already full before. We had to settle in at Ira's room.".Ira replied with a grin,"Yeah, at first...I didn't like the proposal of Mai but, since I can get a huge cut on the payment, why not? Besides, you three aren't rowdy compared to those other G.o.ds there...".Ira pointed her thumb at the edge of the wall. Thereupon, Otorine, Yumine, little Na.s.sus were hearing the rowdy of men at the other side of the wall. As if the people there were slamming each other down in a brawl. There were even sounds of shattered gla.s.s as well and the cries of a poor panicking G.o.ddess too. Soon, Yumine changed the awkward vibes by expressing with a cheerful glow,"Other than that...LET'S HAVE A SLEEPOVER!".Her pose was similar to a cheerleader motivating the audience. Otorine, Ira, Na.s.sus raised their hands and shouted with glee as well. Soon enough, the four of them played a four-player video game from the spherical game console provided. Who knew that a rundown shack had an expensive console system for their customers. Otorine was noticing that both Ira and little Na.s.sus were becoming more and more attached. All of them did some other entertaining things and played unusual board games as well. Sooner or later, the four of them slept on each single bed provided. The lights were out and only the seven moons and stars outside the window were shining brightly. It looked-like everyone was asleep except for Yumine, as she was sitting on her bed. Not only that, her eyes were worrisome for some reason, while she was looking down,"I wonder what happened to Miro, he should've came back by now...".Yumine touched both of her cheeks twice, in order to compose herself. She looked at the sleeping Otorine afterwards. Then, Yumine uttered out her soft words,"Sorry Ori...but, I'll just find Miro...catch ya later...".Yumine stood up and unsheathed her pink rapiers that glistened nicely. She left the place through the window in a sneaky way. As she landed outside the alley. Her skin felt that the air was very thick and quite cold,"What is this weird miasma?".Though, she just shook her head sideways and stopped being bothered by the odd atmosphere,"Nevermind, time to find Miro...where ever he is...".She rushed along the deafening hallways basked in the chilling night. All of the shops were closed and shut. The only thing Yumine could see was the lights flickering. She was treading along the vast hallways yet, there were still no signs of Miro,"Where are you Miro?".Soon, she noticed a dark visage of someone through the dark narrow alley. Thereon, she took a detour and followed the mysterious person. As she was getting closer to him, she saw Miro standing there. In turn, Yumine was filled with immense joy and hollered him,"Miro!".Miro raised his head. That sudden moment, Yumine hugged him tight, as she was a truly happy maiden to see her long lost lover,"Heheh! I'm glad I was able to find you Miro.".She had stopped embracing him and held his hands instead. After that she spoke more,"Now let's go back to Mai's place. Since, Ori and Na.s.sus are waiting for you...".Yumine tried to tag him along but, Miro wouldn't move an inch. It's as if he was anch.o.r.ed down for some reason. Yumine turned to look at Miro again,"What's wrong Miro?".Miro didn't respond but, he just held Yumine's lower chin. Yumine felt tense and asked him once more,"Mi—?".Suddenly, he kissed her without warning, turning Yumine's eyes to open wide.Yumine felt that the kiss wasn't warm, rather it was cold as the wailing abyss. Since, Yumine was shocked of Miro's odd behavior. She pushed him away and expressed her irritation but, she was blushing as well,"Geez Miro, atleast give me a sign...I-I don't like sudden k-kisses ok.".Not much soon, Yumine felt that her head was spinning and everything was getting blurry,"Huh? Why am I getting dizzy and weak?".Yumine glanced at Miro once more,"Mi-ro?".Although, she just noticed just now that Miro looked-like a lifeless corpse. Afterwards, her body fell to the solid ground and her eyes went shut. She tried to move but, her senses were down. Though, Yumine could hear the weak voice of G.o.ddess Queen Weissia,"I'm sorry...G.o.ddess Yumine but, this is for the better of Celestia Heavens...".Then, Yumine fell into complete slumber.
