The mayor, Miro, and Yumine felt tense, as they saw the emotionless Shunya. Shunya focused her dead-set eyes on Miro. Miro felt a cold shoulder, as he could feel the vibes of destruction and decay from Shunya. Although, he steeled his nerves, instead of tremble in complete fear. Yumine gulped, as she can't do anything, since she was pinning down the frightened mayor. Shunya took one step, and rushed at Miro. She let out swift punches and kicks at Miro such as Shunya was a master of all kinds of martial arts. Miro wasn't able to keep up with Shunya's hyper-speed movements, so he had turned into a punching bag. As Shunya let out her last attack, Miro was knocked out and battered on the floor."MIRO!",Yumine expressed with sorrowful tears, as Miro was down on the ground. That sudden moment, Shunya cast out with a chilling voice of death,"Distort napalm..."Her fists were wreathed in flames of darkness and unstable streams of pulsar. In a split of a second, she crushed and pulverized the dead-looking citizens mercilessly. Thereon, Yumine couldn't believe of what she had seen before her eyes. It seemed that in Yumine's divine vision, not only that their bodies were destroyed but, the innocent humans' souls had disintegrated as well, due to the infused powers of Distortion from Shunya's enchantment."Please stop it Shunya!",Yumine pleaded, while she was still holding down the mayor. Sadly, Shunya just ignored Yumine's plea. Sooner or later, the mayor was able to get away, since Yumine's focus was diverted onto Shunya who doesn't look-like in a normal state of mind. While the mayor was running away with cowardice on his face, Shunya approached him in a split second. The mayor was trembling in deep fear, as his eyes were seeing the terrifying aura from Shunya,"P-please spare me!".Shunya didn't respond. Instead, she jabbed at him straight through his fat stomach, penetrating his pudgy body and gushing out crimson puddle along the floor. Shunya approached Yumine in an instant. There after, Shunya let out destructive blows at Yumine. Thankfully, Yumine was able to block most of them but, she was still thrown away for a few distances, as Shunya let out her last punch. Yumine still tried to talk with the emotionless Shunya,"Shunya why are you attacking us?!".Although, it was no use, as Shunya was like a lifeless doll who's aim was to only wreak havoc. Yumine looked around the place. There were lots of cracks and ruined contraptions. The whole place was stained in crimson blood, as the mayor and the citizens were dead on the floor. She knelt down on the floor, as she felt totally hopeless. Suddenly, Yumine heard a voice that was very similar from Lilieth from behind, although it was s.l.u.ttier and high-pitched for some reason,"Uh huh, so she DID become a DISTORTED G.o.dDESS...".Yumine turned around. Then, she saw that Liliath was floating above. Yumine called unto her,
"Lilieth?!"."Ummm, no...It's Liliath...I'm Lilieth's twin sister, remember?",Liliath replied. The next moment, Shunya dashed at the defenseless Yumine. Thankfully, Liliath cast out a lavander magic barrier in front of Yumine, making Yumine to be safe from Shunya's strong hits and punches. Afterwards, Liliath suggested Yumine with added insult,"Also, why don't you get up...don't tell me YOU'RE GIVING UP ALREADY? Hm?".Yumine didn't like Liliath's suggestion but, she had no other choice. Since, moping down and doing nothing won't solve anything, Yumine stood up and armed herself with her pink rapiers once more. Liliath made a devious grin, as she witnessed that Yumine's fiery seriousness came back. Then, Liliath told more,"If you haven't forgotten, I'm Lilieth's twin sister and I'm a Blade G.o.ddess too. Though here's the thing Blade G.o.ddess Yumine...".Yumine asked,"What?"."Shunya is a...DISTORTED G.o.dDESS NOW.",Liliath replied. Yumine gulped, as she heard that dire conviction from Liliath's mouth. As Liliath was seeing that Shunya was still trying to punch through the barrier, she said to Yumine,"Also, I think...you should be focusing on your current problems now, especially on that distorted G.o.ddess.".Then, Liliath pointed at Shunya who was letting out powerful blows in front of the barrier that was protecting Yumine. Instead of looking back, Yumine asked for Liliath's support,"Then, let's work together, since we're both Blade G.o.ddesses.".Liliath replied non-chalantly,"Ummmm sorry but no. I'm just here to watch your fight. Besides, it won't be a FAIR fight if I joined-in RIGHT?".Yumine was p.i.s.sed,"Ugh, so much for help...".Since her request was declined, she turned to look at Shunya, as Yumine took her matter on her own hands. Liliath snapped her fingers and her barrier that was invoked in front of Yumine had shattered into millions of fragments. As the barrier was gone, Shunya let out a quick power punch. Thankfully, Yumine blocked it by using the flat-part of her blades and formed an "X" mark. Yumine was still shoved for a few paces but, her body wasn't damaged. Soon, Yumine cast out,"GLADYS FRAME!".Suddenly, the sharp blades of her weapons were wrapped in some kind of blunt fiber gla.s.s or translucent rubber. Then, she was absorbed in her thoughts for a few moments,"With these...Now I can fight Shunya without hurting her.".It appeared Yumine doesn't want to hurt Shunya at all. Honestly, when it comes to friends, Yumine becomes soft. While for Liliath who was enjoying the fight between two G.o.ddesses, she was sitting on top of a gigantic gear beside the wall. Moreover, she was recording Yumine and Shunya's fight with her lavander smartphone. Zooming back to Yumine and Distorted G.o.ddess Shunya's fight, Yumine was on the offensive yet, Shunya was just dodging and parrying them. As Shunya deflected another attack of Yumine, Shunya grabbed the opportunity and countered with a forceful roundhouse kick. Yumine took a direct hit from her stomach, flinging her to the side. Though, she still got up. She took a deep breath and tried to reel-in fast lunges at Shunya, such as Yumine was a hyper-speed aircraft moving from almost all directions. Shunya had a hard time blocking Yumine's quick strikes. Since, Yumine's attacks were difficult to deflect and block from different sides. In turn, Shunya got lots bruises from Yumine's unconventional attacks. As Yumine made another piercing lunge using her rapier, Shunya cast out,"Distort burst...".Then, she punched the ground and released a malicious black wind from the abyss that burst out from the epicenter. In turn, Yumine was blown away to the wall. Though, she still tried to stand up. For some reason, Yumine felt the jolting pain from all over her body. More so, her body was sensing that it was being burned from the inside."Gyaaah! What is this...pain!?",Yumine expressed. As Liliath was witnessing that Yumine felt the unusual pain from her body, Liliath crossed her legs and explained from afar,"That's one of the things that the power of Distortion will do to its opponents, it'll give you IMMENSE PAIN and A BURNING SENSATION FROM THE INSIDE. Well that's what I've learned from the INFORMATION of the other Blade G.o.ddesses who were researching about DISTORTION.".Yeah right, Liliath was RESEARCHING it alright. Shunya tried to approach Yumine who was nearly at the edge of the wall. Suddenly, Yumine noticed that Shunya was acting strange, as Shunya was feeling that her head was aching painfully."Please stop it...get away from me! Ack!",Shunya expressed with her normal lively tone. Through Yumine's sight, she was witnessing that Shunya was fightning in her own head,"What's happenning Shunya?".Afterwards, Shunya fell on the ground unconscious. Yumine was utterly shocked,"SHUNYA!".she sheathed her rapiers and she went near the slumbering Shunya. Not only that, Yumine was seeing that Shunya's clothes dyed in black had dispersed and her red sunset outfit had returned. Moreover, the unstable dark energies from Shunya dispersed as well. Yumine tried to wake up both Shunya and Miro, while her crystal tears were falling on the ground,"Miro...Shunya, please wake up...".Sadly, none of them heard Yumine's plea. Liliath went near Yumine's left side. Yumine turned to her left and asked Liliath, while Yumine's tears weren't stopping,"If you know much about DISTORTION, then what happened to Shunya? And what about Miro?".Liliath just replied complacently,"Oh I don't know...maybe this pet.i.te G.o.ddess met the so-called, MASTER. As for your PET FALLEN. I think he'll wake up soon enough...".Liliath heard lots of footsteps from the distance. She looked through the aisle and she was noticing Otorine's and her companions' visage from afar. In turn, Liliath said her farewells,"Oh and your friends are here now so...ciao, DISTORTED G.o.dDESS SUSPECT, YUMINE...".Suddenly, Liliath had vanished."WAIT!",Yumine expressed, although she can no longer feel Liliath's presence at all. Though, she was boggled over on what Liliath had said about her,"I'm a Distorted G.o.ddess suspect? What did she mean by that?".Sooner or later, Yumine heard Otorine's voice calling to her from the short distance,"Yumi!".Afterwards, Otorine, Aron, Senku, and little Na.s.sus approached Yumine. Yumine got reunited with her companions and she told of what happened to the citizens, the mayor, Miro, and Shunya's bizarre behavior. As Otorine heard the story fromYumine, Otorine felt a mix of pity and sadness,"I see...".Otorine's eyes looked around and she felt very sorry for the state of the innocent people who were dead along the floor. Later on, Miro recovered from his deep sleep,"Oww, this little G.o.ddess packs a punch alright...".He tried to get up but, Yumine hugged him suddenly,"Miro!".While Yumine was embracing him, she was also letting out tears of joy, as her companion regained consciousness, even though he was struck pretty badly. As for Miro, he hugged her back and responded with a relieving tone,"Yeah, I'm okay now Yumi...".Otorine, Senku, and little Na.s.sus were also filled with relief, since Miro awakened. Although, for Aron, he was filled with a mix of disgust and anger, since he had truly much disliked Fallens and he even hated their kind. Sooner or later, Yumine and Miro were done embracing each other. Then, Yumine asked Otorine and her companions,"By the way, how did y'all get here?".Senku explained,"Shunya took too long outside, so we ought to find her and our smartphone's G.o.ddess location founder led us to this underground location.".Now that is convenient. Aron told his opinions with a haughty smile,"Who knew there was an underground lab here...".Then, Senku returned the question to Miro and Yumine,"How about you two, how did you get here anyway?".Yumine responded to Senku's question,"Well, Ieva sent us here through her own G.o.ddess powers, to let us know on why she's so desperate to destroy her remaining people...With all these contraptions and horrid process, now we know why she wants to destroy it so much.".Senku crossed his arms,"Because they are destroying their souls right?".It seemed that Senku knew something about of what was going on in Ieva's world for some reason. Rather, he's kinda close to her, basing on how he responded and acted. As Yumine heard that short a.s.sumption from Senku, she nodded. There after, she suggested to them,"Say, before we leave this world...let's report all of this to G.o.ddess Ieva...".Everyone nodded, except young Na.s.sus, since he doesn't even know of what they were all talking about. After a while, Senku lifted the unconscious pet.i.te G.o.ddess Shunya on his back. Then, everbody left the place through the long-winding aisle seeped in silence. While they were all walking along the straight path, little Na.s.sus was staring at Otorine with a curious look on his innocent face. Otorine sensed that her youthful Na.s.sus was looking at her, so she ought to ask him,"Hm? What is it Na.s.sus?".Little Na.s.sus replied,"What's a soul?".It seemed that was the only term that Na.s.sus caught up during the recent conversation. Otorine put her finger on her lips, as she was trying to guess in her thoughts,"A soul huh..."Soon, she leaned to the young Na.s.sus and said,"Hmmmm, it's something of what a human or G.o.d or a G.o.ddess has inside of the of them that's very special...".Then, she patted his head like a cute puppy. Although, she doesn't really know how to explain it in her thoughts,"Ugh, it's difficult to explain it really...".As little Na.s.sus heard that short so-so explanation of Otorine, he was filled with happiness and understood it somehow,"Wow if you have it too...Then, your soul is warm Ori onee-chan!".Otorine cheeks turned rosy red, as she heard that indirect compliment from the youthful Na.s.sus and saw his sparkling eyes of a happy little kid. Soon, she replied back with a heartwarming smile,"You too Na.s.sus...you too...".Although, Aron was a little bit p.i.s.sed, since Otorine and little Na.s.sus were having their sweet time together. After a few hours have pa.s.sed, their group arrived at G.o.ddess Ieva's frozen sanctuary. As usual, Ieva was still encased inside her cold crystal sh.e.l.l. As she had seen the full party, she expressed herself through her telepathic ability,"So the whole band's here now. This is interesting?".Yumine went up front, while she was making an apologetic look,"Ieva, we have something to tell you...".Afterwards, Yumine explained the whole thing they've witnessed at the underground arcane laboratory, even Shunya's strange actions. Although, Ieva didn't care much for the sake of Shunya. Rather, Ieva just felt some kind of pity for the people who had died in the utmost gruesome and unnatural way as possible."I see. Then, I could only pray that their poor disintegrated souls would come back to life, if a miracle were to happen.",as Ieva said her regards. Then, Yumine said more,"Also, Ieva...sorry we've doubted you...".Ieva just replied,"No no...I already expected you to say that...".There after, Yumine bid their farewells,"I guess it's time for us to leave...".Otorine held little Na.s.sus's hand. Then, she raised a certain magical card. Soon, all of her companions including her were surrounded in a barrier of divine magical light. It was reaching to the heavens above. The next moment Otorine, Yumine, Senku, Miro, Aron, little Na.s.sus, and the slumbering Shunya had vanished. After Otorine and her party had gone elsewhere, there was deep silence in the atmosphere. Later on, Liliath emerged from the abyssal shade at the corner and she spoke to Ieva,"Hmmmm, it seems they've failed to save your people huh? So a deal's a deal...".Ieva responded,"I understand but, before that...I must return this world to its rightful form...".Then, Ieva chant out a long magical spell,"AL RUSHTAT SIL BRIONE ILHEM NA ZEHUR XUR AMRADITH KOKORO ZO NAVARU BLISSIA RESILIA NOX MAXIMA. LE SAVIS REFORMEA ACRONIS ALPHA ZE OMEGA PERMIZIO MI CELESTIA G.o.dDESS IEVA!".Afterwards, there was a gargantuan golden magical pentagram that was rotating around the whole floor. The pentagram had a symbol of a white rose and crystals around it. Not only that, outside the sanctuary, there were lots of grandiose magical pentagrams above the skies such as a call of judgement had been made. The whole spherical world of Blissia was surrounded with millions or even billions of those said magical glyphs and mystical pentagrams. A little while later, her whole world was being stormed by powerful blizzards. As her whole world totally blanketed by white snow and ice sheets, the blizzard calmed down. Soon, the frozen sheets turned into deep bodies of water. Next, the snowy lands dried up. Then, there were lots of green islands and continents that emerged from the surface waters. There were lots of plants filled with bountiful harvest, although there were no humans or animals or any kind of creatures yet. While for Ieva's frozen sanctuary, it turned into a subterranean spring that had fresh mineral water. Liliath looked around and she felt better, since she wasn't used to cold that much either. Then, she looked back at Ieva who was still in her frozen sh.e.l.l,"Hmmmm, now that your world is anew...why don't we call it, BLIZZIA! Headed by the new DISTORTED G.o.dDESS, IEVA!".Ieva's crystal sh.e.l.l transformed into the color of obsidian. The next moment, Ieva emerged from her dark sh.e.l.l and stood next to Liliath.Ieva's hair was shorter that turned her to look-like a bad*ss tomboy, a gorgeous tomboy in fact. Moreover, her hair was a mixture of bright azure and strips of chrome black. Her matured yet, expressive eyes looked both cold and brave, as they were shimmering such as they were crystals of different colors. Her kissable lips were dyed in abyss black that would give anyone a cold shoulder yet, an amazing pa.s.sionate time as well. Also, she had a mask from a masquerade festival but, it was only covering her one left eye. The whole appearance of Ieva was somehow a model who would give anyone a cold stare at a party. Her whole hourgla.s.s and proportioned body was wearing a midnight blue one-slit dress. Her dress had lots of fragmented black crystals as added design to it. More so, the immense fragments formed the shape of a black rose with spikes underneath such as it was the symbol of Ieva's world. Lastly her slim and long legs were covered with stockings that have the colors of the deep abyss. As for her feet, they were sparkling in moonlight. Since, she was wearing blue high-heels that were laddened with black crystals.As Liliath witnessed Ieva's grand entry, she was fascinated,"Ooooh! I like your new look! Master would fall for you immediately! Since, he has a thing for G.o.ddesses who has the same aura as you right now!".Though, Ieva didn't respond to Liliath's compliment. Soon, Liliath said to Ieva,"Care to share your first speech on your new world? G.o.ddess Ieva?".Ieva nodded. She brought out her hand and formed a floating crystal ice from the dark abyss that sparkled like starlit diamonds. Then, she announced to no one,"As a newly reborn G.o.ddess...from now on, the new people shall live in fear before me. In order for them to not make the same mistake as their previous ancestors did.".Liliath nodded, as she was convinced of Ieva's hard-liner speech. Afterwards, Liliath gave out her hand to Ieva,"Now, why don't we visit OUR MASTER now, so that you can know now on how to reconstruct their destroyed souls, hm?"."Agreed...",Ieva said composedly. Though, before she accepted Liliath's hand, Ieva closed her eyes for mere moments. Then, she felt regrets in her deep thoughts,"Sorry Otorine and Yumine but, these DISTORTED G.o.dDESSES know on how to restore those ruptured souls in which those at CELESTIA HEAVENS cannot. Since, it's a power beyond light and darkness. Once we see each other again, we're enemies...".It appeared that these souls that were destroyed can be restored by the marvelous powers of Distortion. Who knew Distortion has that amazing power. No wonder Ieva chose to side with the Distorted G.o.ddesses. Soon enough, she opened her cold eyes and accepted Liliath's hand. That sudden moment, the two of them were surrounded by a field of unstable flashes of lights and ominous winds of darkness. Then, they had vanished afterwards and left the newly reformed world.
