After a long week in school, writing exams, The day for us to finish the exam finally came. No more late night studies, no more annoying exams, and finally, I had more time to enhance my power, train,cultivate and research. It didn't take longer than an hour before our exam scores and positions came.There was tension and murmuring everywhere "If I don't pa.s.s this exams my parents are gonna kill me", one student murmured to another. That was the most dominant utter I heard from most students. "Okay. Positions in the examinations are on the notice board", informed the teacher. As soon that was confirmed, the students rushed out of the hall to see their positions." Oh shoot! My parents will kill me". Lamented a student standing behind me. I waited for the crowd to reduce before I went forward to see my position. There was a cut off from top five and fifteen so I looked from the bottom to top for my name. "Oh, wow, I was fifth. Studying paid off" ,I said to myself. Well, I guess I'm going to high school. But that's not the reason I came to this world.As soon as I saw my position I went back to the hall.Later, Envelopes contain letters and a certificate were given to the students in the top fifteen column. As soon as Selasi got his, he to his bag and left for home. I then remembered I had to apologize to him for a.s.saulting him. I also took my bag and my envelope and left the hall too, chasing after him calling, "Hey, Selasi" . He ignored me and rather increased his pace. I kept on pursing him shouting "Hey, I just want to apologize!" This time he started running. I never knew I would follow him to the streets. But I didn't stop. I was almost near him when a group of n.o.bodies stopped me. It was midnight so they were probably street thugs. "Hey, kid. Have some money you could spare us". Said the gang leader while holding me by the shoulder and picking his nose." I'm not giving you anything, so leave me alone, I'm in the middle of something you filthy rat". I remarked.They started laughing. Their leader then said "I think I have to teach you a lesson kid". He lifted his hand to punch me on the face. I grabbed his fist and twisted it.Now I was very angry. I lost track of Selasi. " Don't think puny attacks like that... Will WORK ON ME YOU FOOL", I shouted.He was screaming, and his screams were kind of consoling my anger. But I didn't let go. I pulled him forward, let go of his hand and when he came forward, I kicked him in the face. He smashed into a wall, with his limbs broken and his jaw snapped. "How dare you do that to our master!" Exclaimed one gang member. "We won't forgive you for this!" Swore another. They both came towards me. Trying to attack. I punched one in his torsos which sent him flying. The other tried throwing a kick at me but I ducked and grabbed him by the leg and twisted it while kicking him in the groin until he pa.s.sed out.
After all that s.h.i.t, I decided to go back home. When it turned to move, I was confronted by..... A demon. "Great! Now I will have no peace!" I said to myself. "Hehehe! Juicy meat!!! Heeeerrrrrrrrrrrrhh!" It shouted. It was drooling from its mouth while starring at me in a creepy manner. It then leaped with its mouth opening with the intention to eat me. It didn't even get closer to me when a thin sharp line pa.s.sed through its neck, killing it and causing it to dissipate. Amazed, I said to myself,"Who was that". Out of the shadows came a man, wielding a sword.I asked, "Who are you" "So you can see me huh" he said back "Of course I can! Why am I not supposed to", I remarked "Fascinating. My name is Edem.I'm a spirit warrior", he replied After he said this he turned to the direction of Selasi's house." why would he go there? " I asked myself.I wanted to follow him but my mother called, yelling I should come back home this instance.
