In a heavily wooded forest was 4 guards, a guardian, and a little girl. The guards all wore red shirts that's sleeves cut off around the shoulder, black combat pants that had different deep pockets on them, black combat shoes, and gloves that cut off around the fingers. They all had a belt of daggers and a sword that hung on their backs in a sword carrier. The name of the guards were Eric, Liam, Alex, and Logan. The Guardian wore a dark black jacket that's sleeves cut off around the shoulder, a shirt underneath his jacket that sleeves also cut off around the shoulder, black combat pants, and black combat shoes. He had a sword that hung around his waist in a sword carrier and he also had a belt of daggers. He had dark black hair and blue eyes. He and the guards were all muscular and all around the height of 5'9. The Guardian was in his mid-twenties and his name was Jax. The little girl wore a pink dress shirt that's sleeves cut off mid arm, black pants, white dress shoes, and had a sliver and diamond tiara on her head. She had her long chestnut brown hair that cut off around her mid back up in a high ponytail that had a side bang and light brown eyes. The little girl was 8 years old and her name was Naomi.She look down at Jax and said "how much further do we have to walk." Jax chuckled and said "not much further but your highness how can you complain when I'm the one holding you on my shoulders." She said "yeah but your wearing combat boots and I'm stuck wearing pinchy dress shoes that I hate so much." Jax said "well your highness would you like to take them off? I don't mind carrying them." She said "no its okay Jax, but what I would like more than anything is to go back home to my parents." Jax said "I know your highness, I know, but right now with war breaking its not safe for you to be there but luckily you can stay here with me until the war is all over." She smiled and said "is that suppose to make me feel better? Cause it doesn't, I don't even like you like that." Jax laughed and said "wow that's shady. That's really, really shady." She said "Jax your my best friend, but I do miss momma and papa. When can I go back?" Jax said "as soon as war is over your highness. We can't risk hurting you. I promised your momma and papa I would take care of you and I'm gonna keep my promise. In the meantime I want you to practice using your powers. You've got to learn how to use them properly so you can protect yourself, okay?" She got down off of his shoulders and said "alright." She put her hands close to each other as little electric shockers appeared between them. She said "look Jax I've already gotten a little better." He looked at her and said "that's great but you should..." before he could finish his sentence she pulled her hands further apart and a surge of electricity traveled through the ground and lightly shocked all the guards. The guards said "ouch," and Jax said "be careful... you've gotten better your highness but next time lets practice away from the other guards and in a freer area so you don't hurt anyone okay?" She said "okay Jax, sorry guys."
They all continued to walk for another mile when they made it to a house that was 1 story. The house exterior was made out of dark brown wood and had vines growing on it. Jax said "we're here." Naomi said "finally we can rest." They all entered the home to see a living room that had a grey couch, a dark brown bookshelf, a grey love seat, a grey rug, and a grey and gla.s.s loveseat. The living room had mirrors that were covered by white curtains that you could only see out of. Jax turned on the light and said "alright the house has 4 bedrooms. Her highness gets the master room to herself. The rest of you split up the other rooms how you will there are two beds in some of the rooms. I'm gonna sleep out here." Everyone agreed and Naomi said "now what are we gonna eat." Jax smiled and said "I'll make us all some dinner. You, your highness can go check out your room its at the end of the hall and its got its own personal bathroom." She smiled, said "awesome," and ran to her room. Jax said "you all are gonna take turns watching her bedroom and I'm gonna over see you all." Eric said "are you sure about that, you need sleep too Jax." Jax said "I made a promise to her parents thar I would keep her safe. The Gave are after her will stop at nothing until she's dead. They took my family away from me, they are relentless. I won't let them or anyone else hurt Naomi. They'll have to kill me first." Liam said "but still, even though you are her Guardian you have to take breaks. What good are you to her if your tired and unaware of your surroundings? Being healthy is gonna help her too."

BANG, BANG, BANG. A loud pounding on the door beat on the air. Naomi ran out of her room to Jax. BANG, BANG, BANG. A voice yelled "open up and give her to us!" BANG, BANG, BANG. Another man who was stronger then those men walked between them. He wore a dark black suit, had dark brown hair, and wore a gold crown with diamonds on it. Jax scuffed and said "Hayes." Hayes smiled and said "that your majesty to you! I already overtook Vander I just need to kill the princess." Jax's eyes widened and Hayes said "what? Your surprised that I killed Naomi's parents? Tisk, tisk I'm surprised at you. I mean I was the one who killed your family wasn't I? It shouldn't have come as such a shock." Jax said "I'll kill you," and charged at Hayes. Hayes said "guards," and his guards charged at Jax and Naomi's guards. Clang, clang, clang. They're swords. .h.i.t each other. Slice, "ahhhhhh, ugh, ugh, ahhh," Eric yelped as he dropped to the floor. "Hahahahaha," Hayes laughed as Eric pa.s.sed away. Jax yelled "Eric," as the guard who attacked Eric came to attack Jax." Clang, clang, clang. The fight went on until each of Hayes guards had they're swords held up to Naomi's guards' (including Jax) necks. Hayes made Liam, Logan, Alex, and Jax all kneel while they had swords to their necks. Hayes smiled and said "not as strong as we think we are huh?" No, no, no. Now Jax where is Naomi?" Jax said "she's not here." Hayes said "oh well, then maybe death will get my answer. Tell me where she is or Liam, Logan, and Alex die." Jax said "she isn't here." Logan shouted "in the bedroom, she's in the master bedroom." Hayes said "oh well thank you Logan, now guard release him. He could be of great use to us." Hayes' guard released him and Hayes said "now guard toss and turn that room until you find her." The guard went to the master bedroom messing up everything but not finding Naomi. The guard came back and said "I can't find her." Hayes smiled and said "very well, guard bring Jax and come to the master bedroom with me." The guard followed Hayes to the bedroom bringing Jax with him. The guard kneeled Jax and Hayes said "now I'm gonna ask you this once where's Naomi?" Naomi heard Hayes and Jax and covered her mouth while crying. Jax said "she isn't here," and Hayes smacked him while and said "where is she?" Jax said "she's gone," and Hayes smacked him again. Hayes said "my patience and wearing thin with you Jax. Tell me where she is!" Jax said "we... we we're a decoy for you... she's long gone and I won't tell you where she is." Hayes kicked Jax in the stomach, smiled, and said "very well, if she's not here she's not here. Guard take Jax and have the other guards take the rest of them out into the carriage they are our prisoners now. Make sure they're all tied up because I wouldn't want them getting away. I have something to do." The guards did as Hayes commanded while Hayes left the room, closed the door behind him, and went into the kitchen. He went through the drawers and cabinets of the kitchen until he found gasoline. He drenched the door of the master bedroom in it and covered the hallway, living room, and kitchen, and front door with it. He left the house walked over to the carriage, and saw Jax, Liam, and Alex all tied up while his guards stood there. Hayes smiled and said "since you won't tell me where she is Jax and Logan says she's in the house I won't take any chances. Guards set the house on fire. the guards took matches out of they're pockets and set the house of fire while Jax, Liam, and Alex's eyes all widen widen and Jax began to cry. Hayes laughed and said "Jax you are pathetic." Hayes turned to his guards and yelled "hurry up we must get out of here fast. The whole house is drenched in gasoline and it'll explode soon." The guards hurried back and loaded Jax, Liam, and Alex into the back of the carriage while they all, Hayes, and Logan got into the front of the carriage and it took off. Jax mumbled to himself while tears ran down his cheeks "what have I done."
