Few days went by and Jason was fed very well, for the first time in life he didn't feel hunger, he shared his food with Derry who didn't receive food as much as he did.The other kids around were jealous of him but they didn't dare to make a fuss around here, Little Jason didn't care about them because he already knows he has to be greedy if he wants to survive the life he is living.A week pa.s.sed and Jason started to gain some weight. He didn't know why they were only feeding him this good while the other kids were only given little, enough for them to survive.Little Jason noticed something off during the week he stayed in this closed up area, he would one day see a group of kids and the next day they would be nowhere to be found, instead, he would see new faces.Little Jason realized something is happening to the kids around here but he didn't know what, he decided to find out what is happening because his life depended on it and he also had someone new he has to take care off.Little Jason noticed that the children when missing when everybody went to sleep, he decided to be awake tonight and see what is going on, every decision he is taking is increasing his fear but what he has learned from staying in that h.e.l.l called the slum is no matter what he does he has to survive.Little Jason spent the day, as usual, he was fed properly, spent most of his time with Derry, soon night time arrived and the bald man came out and ordered all the children to go to sleep, Jason put Derry to sleep and pretended to sleep as well.After an hour Jason noticed that everyone is asleep, he looked at Derry and has also fallen asleep, he still didn't move because he is still scared, his heart is beating fast, he doesn't know what to do next.Even though he planned to check out what is happening he has no idea what to do.Suddenly he heard footsteps, hearing it Jason quickly closed his eyes."How many today?"A man's voice was heard."12 should be between 9-12 years of age"Jason recognized this voice, it is the bald man's"What about that black eye kid, he seems to have put on some weight, we can send him away"The voice he heard before said, hearing it Jason got scared, his heart is beating at a very high rate, he could hear his own heartbeat."No, the boss has reserved him for someone special, so we have to take care of him for a week or two more"Jason heard this coming from the bald man.Hearing it Jason calmed down a little but still, his fear has not gone away."Ok enough take any twelve of them and sent them into the container"The bald man said."Ok, Ok"Jason maintained his position and didn't move, he didn't want to be noticed by them.As Jason stayed like this he heard light mumbling, Jason was scared but he put on some courage and turned around and slightly opened his eyes to see what is happening.
He saw the bald man had a syringe in his hand and the other man is holding a girl who looks to be around 11 years old, she is trying to struggle but, the man holding her has a tight grip and has shut her mouth closed by his large hands.The bald man took the syringe and inserted it into the girls right hand, soon the girl stopped struggling and fainted.Jason got scared seeing this, but he has to keep his calm, the fear of experiencing the same fate helped him calm down.He silently watched children from age group 9-12 would be injected by something which caused them to faint in a few seconds, then they would be led behind the tent.Jason didn't know what is behind the tent as he was never allowed to go there.Jason breathed heavily and waited for the coast to get clear, once he noticed that all the adults around the area have left, he slowly got up and looked around, he saw no one around.He slowly got to his feet and looked at Derry, seeing he is sleeping soundly Jason slowly tiptoed towards the tent.He carefully went towards the tent while using the drums and broken table to hide and move forward, whenever he notices a shadow pa.s.sing through, he freezes and crouches down so that he won't get noticed.By doing so he finally reached the tent, there was a small hole in the tent's side, Jason carefully peeked in and saw some women with very little clothes dancing weirdly in front of the adult men, Jason didn't know anything that is happening inside but he sighed in relief seeing all the adults busy with the thing they are doing right now.Jason carefully moved forward, using the tall bushes to hide his shadow.He finally arrived at the back of the tent.What he noticed after arriving here is another entrance which is covered by a translucent sheet, Jason could smell a very foul smell coming from inside.Jason didn't know what to do, after looking around for a while he decided to go in and take a look.He slowly walked towards this entrance, he looked left and right once again before pushing aside the sheet and walk in.As he entered this room he saw nothing but darkness, but in front of this darkness is a faint light.As Jason started to walk towards the light but his leg hit something and he suddenly stumbled and fell, doing so he hit something hard and shook causing a metal object to fall.Jason panicked and quickly used his hands to feel his environment and quickly hit behind some kind of metal stand.As Jason sat down there crouching and the fear of getting caught, he felt a weird sensation, he felt someone is touching his body, hands, and legs.He is too scared to even open his eyes, he just shut his eyes tight and hoped everything will be alright."WHO'S THERE"Suddenly Jason heard a very husky voice shouting.
