I Was Just An Only Child Boy, Now I Became One Of A Four Quadruplet Sisters Chapter 23

Older Brother Side Story I am placing the daughters + brother here for me honestly but also a reminder, I guess.

Nishi Yotsutsuji daughters.

The first daughter is Asahi (朝日)(Morning sun)

The second daughter is Mahiru (真昼)(Mid day)

third daughter named Yuudachi(夕立)(Evening Shower)Protagonist.(Yuu-chan)

The fourth daughter is Yoru.(夜留)(Night)

The older brother Souji.(奏時) Btw she is always using (私) from now on.

I have four 2 year old younger sisters.

My sisters are an extremely rare case.To have four identical twins is really rare.They all have the same faces and looks. It's impossible for people to tell them apart.

I was only allowed to visit them a year after they were born.Only occasionally. And every time I looked at them curiously.

I thought I was dreaming when I saw them, it was a curious sight.

However no matter how many times I pinched my cheeks I wouldn't wake up.

Anyway, I am the older brother for these children. I have to protect these children. . . .

I thought something like that.

My sisters just turned three.

I think from around that time my mother stopped paying much attention to me.

Honestly if I think about it.It makes sense that the attention would be placed on my sisters. Seeing as their are four of them her attention must have been stretched.But I was still jealous.

I wanted to be cared about so I repeatedly broke into my sister's room to play.

However midway through my times playing I started to notice 1 person who stood out.

It was the third daughter Yuudachi.

All of the daughters were engrossed in playing.Besides Yuudachi. Who didn't seem interested at all in playing. She was always a bystander to the playing.Simply watching them.

I thought she was a weird child.

So one day I told her.

"You are strange."

Normally you would be sad if you heard that from a family member.

If I heard that from I would be stay in bed for a week at least.At that time I was so heartless I didn't even care and said that.

However far from that, Yuudachi smiled in response.Does she really not care.And even smiled in response?

I never imagined she would return with a smile, so I probably responded with a strange face.Instantly Yuudachi responded with a "pfft" when she noticed my strange face.It must have been really strange.

I felt embarra.s.sed and angry after that,but that was an important turn of events.From that day on I started to become conscious of Yuudachi,among the four sisters.

After that, every time I visited the playroom I tried to involve myself with Yuudachi every time.I think I was just trying to show off. Look like a cool older brother.

However Yuudachi was always skillfully talking down to me. I often cried and left the room.

And even then all of the sisters began to rely on Yuudachi rather than their Onii-san.

And Yuudachi even started to say my name without any honorifics. . . .I felt really down.

I decided. I will absolutely be recognized as the Onii-san

Several years have pa.s.sed by and my sisters have finally entered the same school as me.

I thought this was my big chance.

I still have never been called "Onii-san" from Yuudachi.

I immediately asked my Okasan and Otou-san for permission to go there with them.

I will guide them skillfully and around show them the school.Surely then I will be recognized as a true"Onii-san."

"- – – To be honest, it is pretty embarra.s.sing to walk with a person called "snow white's prince.""

Such hopes quickly vanished once my nickname in school was discovered.

Following Yuudachi,Asahi and the others quickly agreed with her.So our school trips together quickly got cancelled.

Summer vacation went on without making any progress.

I wonder if my life will go on without ever being called "Onii-san" from Yuudachi.

At this rate that seems like a plausible future.

One day I saw Asahi and the sisters run out from a room.

However Yuudachi who was usually in the center wasn't there.

When I asked Asahi about what's going on.She just smiled awkwardly and answered.

It seems that Yuudachi usage of "I(俺)" was leaked. So she is now being kept alone and going through a correction.She was seeming really down after that so they weren't sure if they should invite her to play or not.

I knew that Yuudachi used "I(俺)", however she was keeping it a secret from Otou-san and Okasan. She was always so confident so I thought it would be good if it leaked out eventually.

However for her to be this sad depressed was unexpected.

So I decided to head straight to Yuudachi's room.

As I've been told she is depressed.

At first she tried to hide it but I could tell just from her face alone.

I even if I am not recognized as an "Onii-san". She is still my "imouto".So I wanted to go.

Is she perhaps depressed because of the correction?

She answered with a no though.

"Is that so.Then what is going on?"

She hesitated for a moment but eventually started to slowly speak.

From what she told me.She is afraid that she will lose herself by changing her way of saying "I" and become different person?Something like that.

That's impossible though. . . .Honestly it would be easy to just laugh at this weird conclusion.But I chose not too.

Even if I would just laugh that thought away, this is a serious trouble for Yuudachi.

That why I told her-

"A person's true self can't just change so easily.So don't worry.And even if you just change your "I", Yuudachi is still Yuudachi. Your still my Imouto."

I then gave her a *PonPon* on her head. Yuudachi looked at me with a flabbergasted expression.She slowly smiled.This is nice though, it's better than crying. . . .

Well it seems that she is thinking over what I said.

Anyhow,If she's better than that's alright.

So with that said I decided to leave the room, then- – –

"No that. . .Thank you . . .Onii-chan."

What did she just say!? Onii-chan!? Did she just say Onii-chan!?

I want to hear her say it again.Should I try and ask her to. While I was thinking that I heard a thud, and the door was closed.Then the sound of a lock.

But I am Yuudachi's "Onii-chan"

I felt happy with just being recognized as "Onii".And then when I thought of Yuudachi smiling my heart throbbed.

I have been feeling awful ever since then.

Every time I see Yuudachi my heart beats faster and my fast goes red. And I want to be teased.The Christmas party from a while back is a good example.(挙げ句には苛めたくなってしまう。)(TN:is this him saying he is a m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t)

I did something un brotherly.

But I just couldn't control myself. And most of all I enjoyed myself.

. . . . I am a strange guy. . .

Before I just wanted to talk to Yuudachi cause she was strange.Now I am the one that became strange.

Somewhere along something was planted in me, and I became interested in her.(　かつて夕立に対して言っていた言葉を、今は自分に対して言っている。そのことにどこか面白さを感じて、僕は小さく噴き出した。)(Tn:Just wanna make sure I got the final statement right. I know the last part is different.)

Hiya.This chapter was longer than usual. Feeling better though. Reading novels and stuff helps de-stress so I hope that this novel does the same for you guys. Some escape from stress of life.

Anyways there sis-con in the building now.

Next chapter in like 2-4 days I haven't checked how long it is so I don't know.
